The new offering from Motorola, the Motorola Bionic, has many notable features that make it one of the most eagerly anticipated new phones of 2011. One new and truly forward thinking feature of the Bionic is "mirror mode." This mode allows the user to simultaneously stream content to their HDTV. Connecting an HDTV through the Motorola Bionic using one of the already available Motorola Bionic accessories, the mini HDMI to HDMI accessory allows the content from the Bionic to be viewed on the much larger screen. Web browsing, apps from the app store, YouTube videos, and even your own pictures and videos can be viewed on any HDTV with HDMI. No more crowding around a tiny phone to share those pictures you took! The Motorola Bionic is set with a mini USB port. With a mini USB to USB cable the Bionic can be connected to most computers, providing an easy way to add to the already robust feature set. Some of these options include importing pictures, videos, and music between the connected devices. Also, an option to allow the connected device access to the Internet through the Bionic, as well as more in depth options for the tech savvy. Motorola has been kind enough in the past to provide a mini USB to USB cable with many of their accessories, and this round should be no different. Another great feature found in the new Bionic is GPS with turn-by-turn directions. To get the best use of this function, the Motorola Car Dock accessory, which is one of many Motorola Bionic accessories, is a must. This piece looks almost identical to a standard GPS car holster, but the advantages go far beyond what you get with a simple GPS unit. Once you locate a convenient (and safe) position for the dock on your dashboard, a suction cup is used to hold the dock. When the phone is placed in the dock, the phone automatically switches to its "car mode." This mode gives a streamlined interface meant to make accessing features you would need while in the car readily accessible. With one touch of a button you can access a map that is updated in real time as you drive. Or, with another button, the microphone is switched on so you can speak your destination. My favorite function, however, is that while the phone is in the car dock, any incoming call automatically goes to speakerphone when answered. These features, combined with the Motorola Bionic accessories, will allow you to get the absolute most out of your new phone.
